Experience with FCI Rally Obedience
I started training for FCI Rally in early 2024, even though I had already been competing in Rally Obedience since 2018. Many of the FCI exercises, sequences, and course requirements were relatively new to me.
What I love most about FCI Rally Obedience
I really like the balance between working the dog on the left and on the right, as well as the dynamic transitions and movement patterns across the different exercises.

We finished 8th at the 2025 FCI Rally Obedience World Championship in Austria.
Other Dog Sports I do
Hoopers. What we love is that both sports offer very different challenges: Rally Obedience demands a high level of precision and teamwork, whilst Hoopers requires a lot of distance handling and independent work from the dog. I’m still not sure which of the two sports I enjoy more.

Working in great harmony with my best four-legged friend and the high level of competition, sportsmanship, fairness, and mutual appreciation. I’m very grateful that I have the opportunity to experience an event like this once again, together with teams from so many different nations.

What I like most about FCI Rally is that there are no exercises with multiple signs, which makes the course very clear and focused. I also really appreciate the possibility of qualifying for and participating in a World Championship.
Best Result achieved with my Dog
Our best result so far is 98 points and 2nd place at the World Championship qualifier on April 26, 2026. It was a very special moment for us and a great reward for all the training and teamwork we have invested.

It is a great honour for me to be part of a World Championship and to represent Austria as a member of the team. I am especially looking forward to the team spirit, meeting other passionate competitors, the journey to Denmark, and of course the unique atmosphere of such a big event. I am sure I will feel a lot of excitement and adrenaline, and I am looking forward to enjoying every moment of this unforgettable experience.

What we love most about FCI Rally Obedience is the unique mix of technical precision and fast-paced action. Every course is different and comes with its own little challenges, which makes every run exciting.

Our best results so far are becoming the 2025 Salzburg State Champions in the highest national class and winning our competition group on Sunday at the European Open Germany 2026 with 100 points.
Other Dog Sports I do
We also enjoy dummy training and a bit of Obedience, but FCI Rally Obedience is definitely our biggest passion.
Especially looking forward to
absolutely loved the atmosphere at last year's World Championship in Tulln, and I can't wait to experience it again in Denmark. Competing alongside so many talented teams and watching such high quality FCI Rally is a real pleasure and a great source of inspiration.

We have been competing in FCI Rally Obedience for about one and a half years. Even though we are still new to the sport, we fell in love with it from the very beginning, and it has become an important part of our training routine.
What I love most about FCI Rally Obedience
What I enjoy most is the combination of precision, teamwork, and the joy of working together. Every course is different and presents new challenges for both the dog and the handler. The best feeling is moving through the course in perfect harmony, working together as one team.
Best Result achieved with my Dog
Our greatest achievement so far was winning 1st place at the 3rd Rally Obedience World Championship Qualifier in 2026. The result came as a bit of a surprise to us, but it showed us what we are able of achieving together and gave us even more confidence in our journey as a team.

Our roots are in Obedience, a sport that remains our greatest passion to this day. Around two and a half years ago, I also discovered my love for Rally Obedience with my Sheltie, Tia. The two sports complement each other perfectly and bring us an incredible amount of joy.

Experience with FCI Rally Obedience
I have been a Rally Obedience judge since 2020 and, over the past three years, I have had the privilege of judging several qualification trials (FCI) in Austria. Since 2016, I have personally trained and handled four Briards and one Lagotto Romagnolo female in national Rally Obedience competitions.
What I love most about FCI Rally Obedience
Rally Obedience is extremely varied and presents a real challenge for both dog and handler. It includes many excellent exercises that dogs need to learn in addition to their basic training, yet it remains achievable for all breeds—large or small. The International Class brings nations together and makes true international competition possible.
Best Result achieved with my Dog
My greatest successes have mainly been in IGP. At the 2013 World Championship for French Shepherd Dogs, I achieved 1st place in IGP 2 with my male dog. With my young male Giant Schnauzer, I became the 2026 ÖRV performance winner in IBGH 3 and qualify for the World Championship TEAM AUSTRIA at the 2026 ISPU Schnauzer World Championship in Switzerland in October. In Rally Obedience in Austria, I was very successful with my female Briards at several smaller and larger competitions.
Other Dog Sports I do
I originally come from the IBGH and IGP disciplines. Between 2001 and 2023, I trained and handled a total of seven Briards, including in search and rescue dog work, Obedience, and even sheep herding with one bitch. At the moment, I am focusing on IBGH and IGP with my young Giant Schnauzer Mohawk. He will start Rally Obedience training once his IGP career has come to an end.
Especially looking forward to
I am absolutely delighted to once again be the team leader of such a strong Austrian squad this year, and I will do my best to support the team in every possible way. Beyond that, I am very much looking forward to experiencing the country and its people. I am sure we will have a wonderful time together in Denmark!

I've been following FCI Rally for about two years now and I'm a big fan of the FCI World Championship. I haven't competed under FCI rules myself yet, as I'm currently training my malinois puppy for FCI Rally.
What I love most about FCI Rally Obedience
For me, it's the technically demanding courses and the challenge of performing each exercise with precision and clean technique.
I've been competing under the national Rally Obedience regulations for about a year and a half, and I've worked my way up to the highest level, Class 3, with two dogs.

I'm a big believer in the importance of everyday training and exercises to develop patience and self-control. I'm also very interested in Hoopers and am currently completing my Hoopers trainer education. I really like the balance between the technical precision and the more dynamic running sports.
